Relation to the 7 Elements

Geography: He changed geography because he believed on heliocentrism instead of geocentrism. He changed the opinion of where the earth was and how all the planets rotated around it.

Knowledge: He changed knowledge by telling people about heliocentrism. People realised he was right later on, and now everyone believes in heliocentrism.

Time: It took Galileo time to build the telescope and figure out the earths rotation and how it revolves. So in the beginning of time, people believed the wrong thing.

Beliefs: Galileo was Catholic even though he opposed the catholic church. He went against his own religion because he believed he was right.

Society: Galileo contributed to society because he helped the society by telling them his discoveries and how it changes the society for the better.

Values: Galileo valued many scientific ideas and theories. For example, he valued Astronomy and the Heliocentric theory (the earth rotates around the sun)

Economy: Galileo's theories affected the economy because, once he found out the earth rotated around the sun, it affected the churches economy because they then were questioned, and less people supported the church, which decreased the donations to the church.

Galileo Family Life

      Galileo was the oldest of 7 Children. His father was a musician. He decided later, that Galileo should learn medicine, since it was more money than what he earned. So at age 11, Galileo was sent off to study in a Jesuit Monastery.
      Galileo never married anyone, but he did have 3 children with his girlfriend, Marina Gamba, who he met on some of his trips to Venice, Italy.
      His dad, was Vincenzo Galilei, who made his living as a lutenist, teacher, singer, theorist and composer. In 1560 he settled in Pisa, where Galileo was born in 1564. He also studied in Venice for music. He was a very good musician and was very popular. He also wrote many books on music. He then died in 1591.
      On of his daughters was Virginia. She was born on August 12, 1600. After she, her father and her other sister moved to Florence, Galileo decided to put both of his daughters into the convent of San Matteo to become Nuns. She died as a nun in 1634, April 2'nd.
      Galileo's other daughter was Livia Galilei. She was borned August 18, 1601. She also was put into the Convent of San Matteo at a very young age with her sister, Virginia. Livia sadly, did not adapt well to the convent, she became ill many times and didn't achieve her assigned tasks very well.
      Vincenzio, was his youngest child. He was borned in 1606. No further information...

Death...

Galileo died on January 8, 1642, at age 77. He suffered from fever and heart palpitations. The Grand Duke of Tuscany, wished to bury him in the main body of the Basilica of Santa Croce, next to the tombs of his father and other ancestors. Their plans wasn't easy to do however after Pope Urban VIII and his nephew, Cardinal Francesco Barberini, protested. They protested of Galileo's suspension of heresy. Instead Galileo was burried small room next to the novices' chapel at the end of a corridor from the southern transept of the basilica to the sacristy. After he was reburied in the main body of the basilica in 1737 after a monument had been erected there in his honour.

Telescope

The astromeners before Galileo taught the world by teaching them that the Earth is in the centre of the universe. Galileo created a telescope to study the objects in the sky. He created his first telescope with different kind of lenses. His third time of making a telescope he made it so you can see it 1000 times larger and over 30 times closer. Galileo is more intrested in the sky then on the earth.
